Healthy iced tea with Fruiteatox
21st May 2018
Ok you love our tea but find that now that the weather’s heating up you don’t always want to sip on a cup of hot tea when you’re relaxing in the sunshine. So we’re celebrating finally being able to enjoy a glass of refreshing and cooling iced tea with a difference – here’s a recipe made with our very own Fruiteatox Daytox!
The Daytox tea has a fruity and zingy flavour thanks to the lemon peel in the tea which makes it the perfect iced tea partner. The blend also contains ginger (known for strengthening the immune system and aiding digestion), ginseng (great for fighting fatigue) and yerba mate (helps to curb your appetite).
- Half of a lemon and an orange
- 1 litre Daytox tea made using three tea bags
- A thumb sized piece of fresh ginger
- 1 lime
- 1 tsp honey
- 2-3 sprigs of fresh mint
- 1 handful of pomegranate seeds
Brew 1 litre of Daytox tea as normal then let it cool down.
Cut the orange, lemon, fresh ginger and lime into thin slices and add to the tea.
Wash the mint leaves and mix them in the tea, then leave it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Stir in the honey to taste and add ice before topping each glass with a few pomegranate seeds before serving.
