Four things to add to your Daytox tea for a natural boost

31st March 2018

Our drinkers tell us that they love the natural lemon flavour of our Daytox tea, and seeing your pictures online made us think about how you can add different ingredients to enhance the tea’s goodness (if that’s possible!). Our Fruiteatox Lemon Daytox tea contains ginseng, ginger root, liquorice root, lemongrass, and lemon peel and oil for an uplifting boost but we thought: why not try adding these natural ingredients if you fancy an extra goodness boost? Here are the four ingredients you can add to your Daytox for a little bit extra!

Ginger

A slice or two of fresh ginger is not only great for a little extra spice in your cuppa, it’s historically one of the best alleviators of discomfort and pain the stomach. And, we bet you didn’t know this – it contains gingerol, a bioactive compound which eases inflammation, reducing your risk of illness. You could even combine it with…

Cinnamon

A stick of cinnamon swirled into our tea is a real favourite when it comes to cold days because it has such a warming flavour. We’re real fans of cinnamon not just for the spicy undertones it imparts, but also because it’s loaded with polyphenol antioxidants, and it’s these antioxidants that help protect the body from disease.

Honey

When you fancy sipping on something sweet during the day, honey makes the perfect addition! The carbohydrate content in honey makes it a good source of energy but it’s also amazing in lots of other ways. Loaded with anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties, a dose of honey in your Daytox will give your immune system a good boost and help you keep sickness and disease at bay – what an amazing ingredient!

Lemon

Now, some of you have already cottoned on to the fact that adding a slice of fresh lemon to your tea makes it even more lemon-y but we bet you didn’t know about the huge health benefits! For those not in the know, lemons are high in vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps protect your cells from damaging free radicals. What’s more, the high dose of vitamin C you get from lemons may also help reduce the appearance of wrinkles – so you feel and look good from the inside out!
